PREMISE
In the pre-primary school the annual theme is “Life on Earth” and it is referred to a homogeneous class of five years old children. We decided to carry out a path CLIL&EAS in English on the life of animals in different environments on Earth. Our project consists of three lessons in the beginning week and then two lessons per week in 1 month and a half. Each lesson takes about 60 minutes. Lessons will begin with the reading of a postcard from a specific habitat, sent by an explorer, Russell. The explorer also sends three identity cards of animals who live in the habitat represented on the postcard. Children will be involved through learning by doing in lab activities to discover habitats’ and animals’ characteristics. They will therefore understand that animals cannot live all together in the same environment.
