Henri Marie Coandă (b. June 7, 1886, Bucharest - d. November 25, 1972, Bucharest) was a Romanian aeronautical academic and engineer, a pioneer of aviation, a physicist, a specialist in aerodynamics and fluid mechanics, an innovator, inventor and discoverer of the effect that he has named.

The Coandă-1910 aircraft was an unconventional aircraft designed, designed and built by the Romanian engineer and inventor Henri Coandă while he was only 24 years old.
