At the beginning of the second project year, students applied to join the Erasmus+ project at the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium. After matching the students with they host brothers and sisters, the students got in touch via email, phone or social networking.
During extra-curricular lessons, the students got into groups and worked on different aspects. One group updated the Erasmus+Corner, another group of German students did research on projects and measures against youth unemployment in Hannover and its region, Lower Saxony and Germany. They summarised their findings a synopsis. A third group conducted a questionnaire about hopes and fears for the students' future with sixth form students. The results of that survey can be studied here.

To get prepared for the students' meeting in Thessaloniki and Hérouville, the students interacted within an intercultural simulation called "Bargna". This simulation made the students aware of cultural clashes by playing a simple card game. The students learnt how to act and negotiate within an intercultural setting in which different (cultural) rules come into being.
