Students' meeting in Garbsen (March 2017)

  • From March 13 to 17, 2017 Germany hosted Greek and French students during the Erasmus+week in Garbsen at the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium Berenbostel.

After the students from Hérouville and Thessaloniki were warmly welcomed at the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium by their host students, the responsible teachers as well as the headmaster, the pupils started to work on the project in three different workshops. In the afternoon, the students met in the city center of Hannover to do a rallye in groups to get to know the city. The groups were very eager to find all the answers to the tricky questions about Hannover because the winners were given small prices during the Cultural Evening.

On Tuesday, all students went on a field trip to Wolfsburg to visit the Volkswagen factory and the Autostadt. They learnt how cars are construced as well as about the history of cars in general. Additionally, they were also informed about some jobs that are necessary in this industry.

On Thursday, experts from the "Joblabor" visited the school and gave a presentation about soft skills for job interviews. With the help of simulations, the students found out personally with skills they have.

All results were presented on Friday in the auditorium to all students, teachers and guests.

    Evaluation

Here you find the results of the evaluation of the students' March meeting in Garbsen.
The students have tried to analyse the answers. On the whole, the evaluation is very positive. Let me add that it is all the more difficult for us to have to drop out of such a project in which international cooperation is so rewarding.
