BERGEN - GETXO MEETING (13th- 17th March 2017)

  • On Monday, after the principal welcome and a tour of the school, the students got into groups to work in three workshops using the material they had prepared and all the information they had from the other countries, which was uploaded on our e-Twinning platform.The three workshops were the following ones: the economic situation in our regions, the soft skills needed to get a job and possibilities to find an intnership. They shared all the information they had.

    On Tuesday, students  started working in different groups and preparing the material to be presented on Friday. The workshops were the following ones:

    • Designing posters

    • Writing about the visits to the companies

    • Preparing a newspaper and interviewing our partners

    • Reflecting on the possibility of internships in our regions

    • Designing a brochure about soft skills.

    During the week, apart from the workshops, the students had the chance to visit two companies: the Institute of Marine Research and Halvard Lerøy. We also had the visit of two other companies  who gave their presentations at school : Adecco (job agency) and NAV (stately office of unemployment).Thanks to these visits, our students learned a lot about our topic: the Economic situation in Norway, the soft skills necessary to apply for a job, how to prepare your CV and how to succeed in a job interview.

    On Friday, after a skype conference with the other students who were in Poland and in Germany, our students gave their oral presentations of the work done during the week. Finally, they answered the evaluation questionnaire they had prepared and performed role plays showing that they had learned a lot about soft skills and how to prepare a job interview.
