    AECCB: meeting  (Auditorium)

Stimulating civic and democratic participation is one of the strongest mechanisms of Social Inclusion, of educational and social transformation. The lack of participation and the distance and distrust of democratic institutions are phenomena across Europe to which all Governments must know how to respond. Young people need to feel the importance of democratic experience, compared to individual and social life in the time of the dictatorship. It is at school that young people should and can start! It is our duty to encourage the participation and democratization of daily school management, encourage students to take the lead and their curiosity for knowledge, bring the school closer to reality and vice versa, so that everything that is taught and learned is stimulating and makes sense for the formation of a more inclusive, active, free, responsible, creative and critical future citizenship and for the school to be more educational. Starting from an initial point in which the partners pointed out their education practices for democracy, throughout this project we learn about the history of our countries, painful pasts and horizons of hope for a better future for all. we will share our ongoing projects and define common actions.
With this project, we improve participation, innovating in the way we can involve students in school life, in politics, in general.
developed new pedagogical practices: non-institutional pedagogies and out-of-school education, critical research and action research, pedagogy of inclusion and cooperation. We have shared strategies adapted to the reality of the democratic experience of the 21st century.
They are far from home, but we hope they feel welcomed as if they were there. We hope that this week you will grow in wisdom, involvement, tolerance and respect for differences.

We welcome you to Vila Nova de Famalicão, a young city in the north of Portugal, a crossroads between the sea and the mountains, the coast and the interior, a mix between innovation and modernity, where progress is daily worked on. , with solid roots in our past and with an eye on Europe.
Welcome to Portugal, a country with almost 900 years of history, which was founded and developed in the Judeo-Christian and Greco-Latin matrices, but also in the barbarian and Islamic culture. Feel welcomed as if you were at home.
We hope that this week's activities will help to fulfill the main objectives of this project, to promote Art-education, the aesthetic education of our students, helping them to open up to new places, individuals and cultures, to be critical and socially committed people. .
We hope that the bonds that unite us will strengthen and that we will live the true Erasmus+ spirit with empathy, joy and healthy coexistence.
