Easter traditions in Greece

Easter is the biggest and most important event in Christianity. On Saturday before Holy Week, we celebrate the resurrection of Lazarus and then Holy Week begins with the Passions of Jesus Christ.

During Holy Week we experience strong emotions by participating in divine drama.

However, these days are characterized by lively and happy waiting of the Resurrection!

Each day has its own importance and customs wich vary from place to place. Here there are some of them.
