PROJECT EVENING

  • At the end of the Erasmus+ project meeting we were seeking an opportunity to gather hosting parents and students together with our Greek visitors for one evening, giving them the chance to exchange experiences, to enjoy the company of the visitors.

Each hosting family prepared different meals for an in international buffet. In this way each one could find a variety of delicious food, in part prepared by the German and Greek students.

As a school's representative Mr. Schlüter, head of the school's junior high school section, expressed in his opening statement his happiness and gratitude for the successful Erasmus+ project meeting. He thanked participating students and teachers for their good work.

After the dinner students would enjoy the junior high school discotheque, organized by the club of student's representativs (SV). The students had fun dancing together and discovering songs they all liked. At one moment they would build a circle holding each other on the hands and dance to the song "Moskau" by Dschinghis Khan.

It turned out be close to 11 o'clock before the final meeting activity would start: Students gathered in the restaurant, which had been tranformed to an improvised cinema to watch a Greek movie. The movie was intended to be a stimulus to discuss the impact economical crisis can have on every day life.

Regarding the time of day and occasion it may not surprise to hear that at the end of the movie only the teachers remained in the "cinema". Students would try to catch some sleep or gathered in small groups enjoying each others company in the last hours of the Erasmus project meeting in Itzehoe.

The Greek visitors left at 7 pm for the airport, after a small breakfast at the school's cafeteria.
