Short-Term exchanges of pupils (STE)

  •      A major priority of the project will be to give secondary level students from a variety of social and economic background the opportunity to develop their skills. Overall priority and objective of the project is to help develop the motivation of weaker students and increase their attainment levels, while at the same time find a balance in working with high achievers and get them involved in effective learning processes, decision making and taking on leadership roles. They will work closely with other team members in their school and at the European level on different activities which will increase their social responsibility, research skills, communication and language skills, ICT skills and personal skills.

Our students have to be able to improve their problem solving and decision making skills. For that it is necessary that they are actively involved in their own learning process. It is our task, as teachers, to give them the tools to do it and point them in the right direction. A lot of group work will be used to develop social skills and peer learning. Participating in this project will give them the opportunity to work with students from other countries. They will have to communicate in English, will experience first hand the differences and similarities of other cultures and will learn to leave their comfort zone to confront it with someone else's.
Moreover, the integration of new technologies is our second must in this project. Not only are they necessary for our students' future but also for teachers, who also must improve their training and teaching abilities.

The involved students and teachers will participate in a project from which we expect an enormous increase in terms of team and peer work, intercultural understanding, boost of their entrepreneurial skills, effective communication and collaboration, creativity and critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making and learning, personal and social responsibility in order to actively get engaged with their learning process and acquire skills needed to be successful in a constantly changing world of work. This project will give students the opportunity to participate in training sessions in different working environments both in their country and in foreign countries, this will be a relevant and enriching experience for their education.
