    For a week, students collected as many food packages as possible, individually or as a family.

    Box: Wall CrossFit

    The students took on the challenge of experimenting with a CrossFit class, where they performed a series of exercises, such as aerobic exercises, calisthenics exercises, plyometrics, and bodyweight exercises, using various equipment: including bars, Olympic rings, grab bars, medicine balls, and plyo boxes. In this way, the students got to know the local facilities to which they can go if they want to exercise themselves.

     

    Guimarães gymnastic club: “GuimaGym”

    This is another activity that provides the students the information and performance of activities that they couldn't do in the school context. This time it is gymnastics.

      1. elaboration of towels for trays with a pedagogic/didactic content;
      2. getting to know your school kitchen: a guided educational tour of the 5th-grade delegates and sub-delegates with the purpose of them learning the hygiene and food safety rules in the canteen of the school EB Egas Moniz;
      3. presentation of that tour to the rest of their classmates, by the delegates;
      4. lecture: healthy lifestyle habits by a nutritionist of the Uniself company;
      5. multicultural lunch, habits, and traditions of the different nationalities of the 5th grade: China, Ukraine, Brazil, Cuba, and Portugal. 

                                    

       

      International Food Day

      Several activities were organized following the theme of “Healthy eating against food waste” meant to increase the students’ participation and conviviality among each other.

       

                                   

       

      Food Wheel World Food Day

      Students carried out an activity related to World Food Day and created a giant Food Wheel that was placed in the School's lobby, as well as a poster explaining the wheel and what its division means, as well as the relative proportions. of foods to be eaten. This activity was intended to alert to the need to practice a healthy diet guided by variety and quality, taking into account individual needs, and also had the collaboration of the students.

       

                                    

       

      Initiative Xico moves 30 minutes online

      This initiative had the purpose of teaching and experiencing different physical activities, directed to the educational community. It reached in a totality 18125 views, having had as well several interactions between teachers and the targeted audience. We concluded that through social media, even being far away we made it so that physical activity was close and within reach for everyone. This way, it topped our expectations not only on the feedback that we got but also on the dynamic and impact that this initiative had.
