Book DayThe fourth-year students, 4th A and 4th B, learned about another legend that is already well-known in other countries but has become a tradition in "neighboring regions."“Saint George, the patron saint of Catalonia, was born on this day, which is celebrated in Barcelona as the Day of the Book and the Rose. Legend has it that Saint George killed the terrifying dragon, and from the dragon's blood a rose was born, which the saint gave to his princess as a gift.”There is no better way to commemorate the day than with a unique bookmark. The pupils brought a book to read as a family.
The 11-grade class read poems related to the Holocaust as part of the project about Human Rights.
In 2022, Spanish Latin teacher, Miriam Jerónimo, organised a Harry Potter's Week to celebrate Book Day in IES Los Cristianos.
