Europe Erasmus club has initiated the school pond project
Armed with garden gloves, shovels and buckets the members of the Europe Erasmus club took part in the project of remodeling the school garden pond of the Bettina-von-Arnim- Gymnasium on 21th of August. Because of Corona restrictions, only the members of Year 9 were able to assembly in the school garden. After an initial meeting on 19th of August and various explanations of the biology teachers, the students planted aquatic plants in the pond to promote the biodiversity. The realization of redesigning the pond was originally planned as a project with the other participating countries during the one-week exchange in Germany, however, due to the Corona pandemic, only German members could start the project. Yet, various other projects are planned. Meanwhile, further cooperation will continue to be possible with the help of digital media, but we hope to be able to finish the work in the school garden together with our project partners.
