How we make up for the carbon footprint left by flights

  • We in Pyhäselkä school decided to make handmade soap and beeswax wraps. We sold those items in the open day. We also organized a coin tossing game and made some paper boxes for donations to nature conservation. We will cover our flight compensations with these funds.

The German School BVA has built a school pond to promote biodiversity and thus make up for teh carbon footprint left by flights.

During the mobility in Germany, we also examined the local wetlands in the local area Zonser Grind and its unique flora including the black polpar trees. We all palnted those unique trees together in the mother tree school.
