All the schools involved in this project have ecology at heart. We promote a healthy lifestyle and a lifelong learning in an effort to provide quality environmental education to our students from different backgrounds and
multicultural environment.
The main goals of the partnership for permaculture in schools are the following: to develop care for the Earth, the environment and
people, to develop key competencies in students, to encourage students to cooperate with European partners from an early age, to promote the European dimension among all participants, to develop
internationalization and be open, improve communication between students and teachers, work in groups, use of English, compare teaching and learning methods, educational values.
Schools partners from Croatia, Malta, Iceland and the Republic of Northern Macedonia will implement the project how to innovative ways of teaching and learning would be developed and pedagogical innovations introduced.
The project will involve the students with special needs, also. This project will show that permaculture is much more from environmental awareness or gardening techniques because it connects resources, people and nature in the ways they supply human needs and at the same time contribute to the preservation of the environment. The role of the European school today is to encourage internationalization.
This is an interdisciplinary project that uses the theme of permaculture gardening in schools to get to know the specifics of the permaculture of European partner countries. Working on this project, students will improve their knowledge of the environment, will improve their skills in geography,
history, art, foreign languages and knowledge of other cultures.
