contained several drawings of feelings such as sadness, joy, etc.
Tree of feelings (Demetra Zanou , CYPRUS): On a 3D tree the students should stick positive feelings on the flowers, feelings that do not influence them on the green leaves and feelings that influence them negatively and would rather let them pass away on the yellow leaves (down the truck of the tree as they fall in autumn...).

MOTIVATIONAL ACTIVITY
ACTIVITY: Brainstorming for the « definition of feelings »
On the whiteboard are already posted photos of different activities and moments of life. The students are asked to answer the question “what do you think people feel?” using the brainstorming method we conclude that it’s all about feelings and we define them.
MAIN PART:
ACTIVITY 1: The tree of feelings
On the wall there is a tree with leafs and flowers, the students are given pouches with green leafs, yellow, leafs and flowers and they are given the instruction to write positive and happy feelings on the flowers, good but not so exiting feelings on the green leafs and sad, negative feelings on the yellow leafs. We explain to our students that there is no correct or wrong answer, it’s all about how do they evaluate a feeling. To help them with the task we are providing them with emoji cards. We let them know that they can write as many feelings they want and stick them on the tree – flowers and green leafs on the tree and the yellow leafs over the roots.
Through this activity they get to know their feelings, their strength and how they affect them in everyday life.
ACTIVITY 2: Relating feelings with different circumstances and exploring ways of dealing with
The pupils are given pieces of paper with different emotions and with their team are trying to solve the exercises at page 52 of their workbook. The results of the worksheet are announced and the positive and negative feelings are separated into two columns in a table. Through discussion, we try to understand why each emotion was born, what its physical effect and we end up trying to figure out ways of positively managing unpleasant emotions.
ACTIVITY 3: Empathy
A video about empathy is presented to the students, followed by debate and the definition of empathy is set, as well as a small self-assessment of how many times we faced situations without empathy.
