Our debate groups, topics and dates
First and second debates: 28th May (Group 1 vs. Group 3; Group 2 vs. Group 4)
Please check students’ availability (maybe after 4 or 5 p.m. Lisbon time)
Third and fourth debates: 4th June
Groups 1 and 3 – Drug testing on animals should be banned
Groups 2 and 4 - Obligatory homework should be banned.
Note: The topics for the 4th June debates are “The internet has done more harm than benefits for democracy.” and
“Kids and teens who regularly play violent games are more prone to violence.” These topics should NOT be disclosed to students now.
Students should be given the group’s email addresses and asked to agree on how they will prepare their arguments.

Students should first read documents 1 and 2 and write down any questions they may have or ask the teacher.
