The activity in Cyprus will take a closer look at the controversial division that has dominated the island’s modern history. The conflict between the
Greek Cypriotic South and the Turkish Cypriotic North has led to an island where nationalism, identity and possible reconciliation are heavily debated
and discussed. We will look at how, one, whilst respecting history, can come together as one modern and democratic Cyprus and bridge the troubled
waters of prior generations. Germany should provide the framework since it offers a political counterpart where the united Germany is not a
successor state but an enlarged continuation of West Germany, the same way the Republic of Cyprus will act after the unification of the island, and
offers also an instance in which the will of the people became the unification force, the same way we want our students and their generation to
become this force. The objectives that will be met in C3 is Intercultural dialogue and social inclusion.
