  • Report on the Science Day events

The first edition of the festival dedicated to science was initiated in Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych i Licealnych in 2012. Since that date, every year in December two days are dedicated to celebrate these anniversaries. The official Polish name of the event is Dni Technika (Technician Days). In 2018 the event was enriched with Mathbuster Erasmus plus project activities. Accordingly, the Polish name for the event is also used together with the English name the science day.

The initiative of the Science Days has contributed to a better understanding of the fascinating world of science. For students it has become an opportunity to use not only the newest technology, but also to experience the history of this technology. We intended to offer students the benefit of experimenting with science and discovering the world through play and fun.

Next science day celebrations are planning on March 3-4 2020.

Erasmus+ Science Days in Poland for the second time

The subsequent science days were realized at a much smaller scale. The reason was the fear of SARS-CoV-2 virus causing COVID-19.
Some competitions have been held as a continuation of last year's competitions.
Students took part in workshops where they did their own splicing of optical fiber.
The benefit for the students was the opportunity to practice with professional equipment used in telecommunications companies.
