Students will do research on sugars and honey and will experiment with using honey as a healthy food supplement. They will compare the effect of sugar and honey on blood levels and on behaviour.
They will share their results with the participating countries so they can sell these products at their schools as well.
By taking part in this activity we try to make them replace sugar containing products for other products. We hope the results will be less agitated and more focussed students who will also have become aware of the long term effects on your health of eating too much sugar. Furthermore we want to draw their attention to the use of medicinal herbs and seasonal fruits and vegetables to addapt a more healthy lifestyle and less strain on the environment.
Spanish pupils have prepared their own breakfast without added sugar:
- Crepes with cocoa (0% sugar), banana and sandwich.
- Yogurt (0% sugar) with blueberries.
- Toasts with natural tomato and olive oil.
- Just fruit can be a very good option for the break!!!
