Winston Barton

  • Winston had an amazing time meeting his friends in Portugal. We hope you enjoy the video.

    This morning we had a whole school assembly during which Winston introduced all of his new friends : Kiki, Necati, Rainbow and Portugalo. We focused on things that make us proud and some children received Merit Badges to celebrate their brilliant work. Here is a photo of some Year 2 children being proud of their certificates for excellent work and of Madison in Year 6 who is extremely proud of a trophy she has recently won for dancing.

    Today, Winston was invited by Puffer Fish to come along to their trip to Living Coasts in Torquay. We saw penguins, puffins, otters, sting rays, octopus and many more animals! Winston learnt many facts such as male penguins look after their eggs on top of their toes and under their tummies to keep the chic warm!

    Winston is preparing for his trip to Italy! The children made Italian flags from pasta or tissue paper.

    This is Samuel. He's 7 years old. Samuel would like to share with you something which he is very proud of. He has built a 3D Eiffel Tower from over 200 jigsaw pieces. His Dad explained that it took Samuel a lot of time to complete plus lots of patience! We think it's a wonderful achievement - Well done Samuel. We hope you will join us in congratulating him too. Samuel would like to know if any of our European friends have ever completed a 3D jigsaw puzzle.

    Winston really enjoyed his trip to Turkey. We hope you enjoy reading his diary.

    We recently had an Italian Dinner Day! We enjoyed pizza...of course! We hope Winston will learn much more about Italian food during his visit to Italy. Perhaps he will return to England with some new recipes for our chef to make and for us to enjoy!

    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Winston and the children of 2Turtles class have enjoyed learning about typical food dishes in Bulgaria, Portugal, Turkey, Italy and England this morning. We watched some typical food videos clips from each country and then matched the dish to the country. Finally, we made postcards for you with our favourite English meals on!
