Core Values The children will work in their schools about what their core values are. These will then be shared with the partner schools to collaborate on what is similar in regards to beliefs and values and to celebrate any differences. What is the same about our schools and what is different.

1. Share the Starfish story.
2. Link it to friendship and how together we can make a difference.
3. Children to work in groups to brainstorm all the core values of friendship.
4. Children to come up their own 5 core values.
5. Children to write about these values.
6. Children to design starfish to share with their European friends
7. Each school to produce 10 starfish and children to send to each school.
8. End product will be a collaborative display in each school to celebrate the core values of friendship.

We listened to the starfish story today and then we discussed what makes a good friend. We gathered our ideas together and came up with our Top 5 Qualities of a Friend. Please see photos and ppt presentation. We are looking forward to hearing what your Top 5 are! Finally, we made some starfish to share with you to help remind us of this lovely story.
