What we had done in June 2019 In june we made a very good and delicious barbecue. We plants carrots, potatos,tomatos, salad, colerabi, radish and many more. Also we harvest our vegetabels for example carrots, potatos and all the others. Also we build a sensbox and we placed this sensbox in our school garden but we had many problems with the wifi access. Also we bought a mobile wifi router but this wifi router had also many problems this means the router goes on and off on many times. At the moments we also had this problems but we hope that we can fix it. We had also an other problem we dosen’t had wifi by us on the school. We mad also many tasks about the Slovakia trip and the coming Italian trip.

How can we work with the data from the the senseboxes? What are data?
Question, questions and more questions, that did not seem to be easy on the first sight.
This weekend workshop with the web developer and data journalist Patricia Ennenbach from the famous German kid's programme "Sendung mit der Maus" was a great experience and showed that boring data can be exciting.
On the screen you can see and hear an audio. A song made by pure data. We will try to make songs from our plant growth :-)
Unter Daten versteht man zumeist Zahlen oder Werte, die durch Beobachtung gewonnen wurden, sagt Wikipedia.
Aber was mache ich mit den Werten, wenn ich sie beobachtet habe und wie veranschauliche ich sie so, dass andere es auch verstehen?
Agatha, Kimberly und Lilly aus der Erasmus+-AG wollten mehr wissen über das Thema Daten. Bald beginnt die Hauptvegetationsperiode für unsere Pflanzen an und dann kommen die Senseboxen zum Einsatz, mit denen verschiedene wachstumsbestimmende Indikatoren gemessen werden und als offenen Daten allen zu Verfügung stehen.
Was lag da näher, als an einem Coding-Workshop der WDR-Datenjournalistin Patricia Ennenbach teilzunehmen, der im Vorfeld der Hackdays Moers (Code for Niederrhein) stattfand.
Mit offenen Daten spannende Visualisierungen entwickeln und Geschichten erzählen war das Ziel. Zuvor galt es aber, die Grundlagen des Programmierens und der Programmiersprache Python zu verstehen.
Das Durchhalten und erste Versuche mit den offenen Daten der Stadt Moers zu Namenshäufigkeiten und Umzugsverhalten der Moerser innerhalb des Stadtgebietes wurden belohnt.
Am Ende des Tages konnten die Schülerinnen die Daten zu den Februarwasserständen des Rheins zu einem Musikstück umwandeln. Was man nicht so alles mit vermeintlich trockenen Daten anstellen kann.....
