    Students' Presentation on Emotional Intelligence

    A group of pupils did some research on the meaning of the concept 'Emotional Intelligence' and explained their findings to their fellow students. 

    This is me: an emotional round-up

    The students take turns to go inside the circle and talk about their thoughts, beliefs and feeling in three scenarios: school, home and friends. This self-awareness exercise is respectfully shared in the circle, where we practise active listening.

    Our teenagers become the protagonists of a magazine portrait page.

    Emotional dynamics, by Prof. Serafín Gómez (University of Almería)

    Psychology Professor Serafín Gómez from University of Almería managed to build an atmosphere of brotherhood among all participants. We practised serene talk, active listening, empathy, mindfulness, powerful statements... that contribute to emotional wellbeing.

    My emotional diary 

    Students handcraft their own emotional diaries with the aim of starting journaling for emotional wellbeing. Previously, they had read a document about the benefits of keeping an emotional diary.

    How do you rate your satisfaction with the different aspects that make up your life - school life, family, social relationships, etc? Why did you rate so low in a particular aspect? What can you do to solve or improve it? A powerful self-awareness tool that can help you achieve your goals.

    My body talks - Moving my emotions

    A PowerPoint presentation about body language and its contribution to one's emotional wellbeing:

    - Becoming aware of our own body language and modifying it when it's working against us in social life.

    - Paying attention to what our body is telling us when there is a health problem - Is it a signal that we are emotionally distressed?

    - Paying attention to other people's body language to help us in our social relationships.

    - Practising 'power poses' for self-confidence vs. weak poses we should avoid.

    Starting an emotions eBook

    To the new generation of neuroscientists, the gap between emotion and reason is narrowing – reason is often directed by emotion. Our SWOT Scouts started an eBook about emotions to emphasise emotions' crucial role in our lives.
