The Italian School in Madrid is a State School. It is structured following the Italian National curriculum and organization. There are all the levels of schooling, from pre-primary to high school ( Liceo). The main subjects are taught in Italian, there also an integration of Spanish curriculum up to secondary school. It was built by Italian Government to host mainly Italian students whose familes were working in Spain for a period. During the years more and more Spanish families ask to enrol their children in our primary school. We have to face this quite large group of students who doesn’t speak the language of teaching. Meanwhile, all the students speak Spanish among them; they speak only Spanish outside the school. English is thaught as third language. There is a large percentage of multicultural families, with mixed nationalities. A rich and diverse environment.
Our classes are two second year group. Second B with 24 pupils and Second C with 26 pupils.
There is a team of teachers who work on group and share the subjects in the classes .
