Christmas Cards ideas

  • We´ve been planning at school the way to make the cards and we are doing them using cooperative techniques.

To make it easier, we are going to design a BIG postcard (about 50 x 65 standard card paper for crafts )in each class .

Then we´ll take a photo ,which will be printed in small format later ,to be sent to partners.

BIG postcards will be exhibited at the school corridor as Christmas works of Art and the small ones we would receive from partners, and photos where pupils working on them can be seen ,will be exhibited at the same time.

A short explanation about Art/artists inspiring pupils work and pupils names could be seen on the postcard cover.

Messages will be HANDwritten using languages learnt at school once the small cards are printed.

We want to send an example of each class/level to all the schools  and we would like to receive at least one from each school/class(Mela)

It doesn't have sense to send printed cards - it is better just to send the scans via Twinspace and print the cards at school to make the display at schools. (Anna, Poland)

In this way all the partners have copies of the cards and they can be sent to schools nearby too.(Mela)

I think it really does make sense to send cards by post! The pupils then get real envelopes and stamps from different countries, which is a very interesting experience for them! It is also interesting to see the handwriting. We always open the cards in lessons and also put up the envelopes on display! (Sally)

    I totally agree!!!! (Mela)

We will do online cards that you could see online, as we discuss the environmental awareness. (Sweden)

Our cards will be inspired by the Swedish artist: Ernst Billgren. He uses images of animals in his artistic works.

We are going to draw like our artist Ülle Meister does. W will use soft pastels. They are very unique and new for us. Every student will choose one postcard. We would like to do real postcards and send them  to you.
