Visit to St Cristopher’s carehome, Northampton High

  • At Northampton High School, we have been very lucky to visit one of our local carehomes.

We decided to visit St. Cristophers' care home because there are some former teachers from our school living there at the moment!

We traveled there in the morning, and we spent some time asking them questions about kindness, their experiences at school, and listening to great stories they were happy to share with us.

We introduce our project and how eTwinning works to them, and they found it fascinating how the world is becoming such a small place compared to when they were at school.

We created some 'KINDNESS PEBBLES' as a gift to them, and they really appreciated the gesture!

It was such a fantastic experience for all and we have decided to continue this visits in the future, perhaps inviting them over to our school next time.

Amongst many other intereting findings, this experience taught us about how important small gestures are. Greeting someone, helping others, and also helping yourself and caring for your own wellbeing!
