Hello dear eTwinners! We wish you all the best for 2018 and a happy, kind and rewarding new year!
Now is the time for an international challenge!
Here's a new activity in our project. The challenge we are now suggesting to put into place is twofold.
First, it'll put more emphasis on collaborative work as we are going to put together international teams ;).
Second, it will help us create an example bank of how we can turn inclusion into action. All the examples gathered will prove very helpful to tackle our final task!!
In this challenge, each country will first suggest another country to work on a ‘special’ character from any sources they can think of (films, books, comics, etc.). The characters must have a common feature -- their ‘differences’ from those around them make them feel like they don’t belong to the society they are living in.
But then, what are we to do with this ‘special’ character that has been chosen for you?
The ‘receiving team’ will do their researches to find out
- the nature of his/her ‘difference(s)’ (emotional, social, physical, etc.)
- the reasons why this character feels ‘excluded’ and not accepted by the other groups and
- what actions lead to this character being included and accepted in the end.
To meet the challenge, each group will provide an illustration (a screenshot, a drawing, a photo, etc.) showing this character in a ‘state of inclusion’.
We suggest the following pairing :

Each suggesting country-team has to rake their brains to find a special character and write his-her name in the middle column!!
Each receiving country-team will respond to the challenge by filling the sub-page in the INCLUSION CHALLENGE page. The sub-page is named after the country-team.
