    Rome

    Rome is the capital city of Italy.

       

    It has about 2,800.00 inhabitants. It was founded according to tradition on April 21, in the 753 BC.; during its three millennia of history was the first metropolis of humanity, the beating heart of one of the most important ancient civilizations, which influenced society, culture, language, literature, art, architecture, philosophy, religion, law and customs of the following centuries.
    Rome, the heart of Catholic Christianity, is the only city in the world to host an entire State, the Vatican City, where the Pope lives.
    In Rome you can visit:

     The Colosseum  is the big amphitheater in the world. It was built in 72 d.C.and it is located in the center of the city. It was used for gladiator performances and other public events. Today it is the symbol of the city of Rome.

     

     The Trevi Fountain is the big and most important fountain in Rome. It was built by Nicola Salvi in ​​1732. The fountain is in baroque style, with marble travertine.

       Villa Borghese is a large park . There are large gardens, English-style spaces, fountains and ponds. From this park you can see a beautiful view of Rome.
