AZEITAO a sleepy village with fine mansions and wine
The first place we visited on the second day of our learning event in Portugal was Azeitão. Near the Arrabida Natural Park is the sleepy-but-prosperous agricultural village of Azeitão, known for its red wine and some of the finest quintas -villas or country estates in the country. Worth a visit has been on the edge of town the Fonseca Winery where we coul sample some of Portugal's best red table wines and see its assembly-line production. We bought some bottles of tasty wine home as presents for our relatives. :)
Arrabida Natural Park
The second place we visied was the Arrabida Natural Park. It is famous for its golden beaches and secluded bays, Arrabida Natural Park stretches along the southeastern coastline of the Setubal peninsula. A protected area sheltering Mediterranean plant and animal wildlife, the vast park covers more than 100 sq km of mountainous landscapes covered with olives, pistachios, and lavender. The park's hills serve as a permanent home to a large population of native deer and boar, while the lower areas protect butterflies, beetles, eagles, and kestrels.
Portinho da Arrábida
Our third stop was Portinho da Arrábida. It´s a beauty of nature considered as a seven wonderful beach in Portugal. The sea up in hill it´s so blue, green (nature), and so high!
The beach is so beautiful, with calm sea, so nice to be here with all the students and teachers involved in ERASMUS+ J
Sesimbra Fisherman Village
After the tasty Portugese lunch we headed to Sesimbra Fisherman Village. Our aim was to get to know the traditions of a cozy fishing village in the picturesque town of Sesimbra and make the film about this fisherman village as the final product of our project. We strolled through the town's old, narrow streets as we tasted delicious pastry made only here. When we reached the port, we walked around the docks, then saw a fisherman's warehouse. We liked it.
The day spent in the great Portugese nature and historical places was great and we will remember it forever J.
