Verslag Circuit Sésame 2016 – College Vincent Badie

After a nice flight we landed in the Sunny Montpellier on Saturday 4th of June.

My host was Laureen, an extreme kind girl. I got hosted by a heart-warming family who included me in everything.

Saturday after arrival we went to a handball match of Lina. (Friend of Laureen who hosted Guido) There was no planned program on Sunday, something I worried a little about, but we went swimming at Lina’s and met several other children with their hosts! It was nice to already talk to some people before the project started and we had a great time!

Monday there was the sport day at the lake, the Raid. I had a fun group which was a great advantage, it was an intensive day but we enjoyed ourselves!

After visiting the caves of Clamouse Tuesday morning, we went for a picnic in a small village where we would start the hiking trial. Together with a large group of children I choose for the hike of three hours. The hike was through the mountains and this together with the extreme temperatures made it hard and sweaty but the sight was breathtaking!

Wednesday morning we got a tour at the College and we had to go to one class. I noticed soon that there was a great difference in class between my school, Porta Mosana, and the Vincent Badie.

After we went mountain biking. A rather difficult and challenging parcours, but with the weather and the local area an amazing experience.

Thursday we started the day with a photo tour in the beautiful Montpellier. When we finished we went to a climbing park in Villeneuve les Maguelone. Here I stayed under the trees in the shadow to play some card games with friends. ( this due to tiredness and fare of heights)

In the afternoon we visited the beach and enjoyed the afternoon sunlight.

Friday we had several activities at school, after we had spare time again and we went swimming at Lina’s just as we had started the week. In the evening we had the farewell party which was simply amazing and great fun! And after an emotional goodbye it was time to leave again...

This week in France was much better than I ever dared to imagine. I really made a bunch of new friends and I will really miss them!
