Crickhowell High School

  • Crickhowell High school is in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Our school has students aged from 11-16 in the secondary school and 16-18 in the sixth form. It is a large school with about 800 pupils in total.

As part of the sixth form we each take up to four subjects which we have chosen ourself, ranging from chemistry to art. These are our A Levels and follow the GCSE exams we took last year.
During our break times, we can spend time in the library or communal rooms as well as in the local town for food in places like the baker's.

As a local school it has a very strong community feel and some of our best experiences include; the end of GCSE exams Prom, sixth form parties and taking trips in the local area as well as abroad.
There is a variety of clubs that we can get involved in at school like the School Productions, rugby and Eco Committee.

Not only this, we are very proud of Welsh Heritage in school taking part in yearly Eisteddfods.
Overall, Crickhowell High School is great for students to make friends and enjoy their education!
