The third project meeting took place in Champagné from 19th to 26th of November 2017. It was a week packed with many different activities connected to our project's topic of mobility.
As a start, we had a debate with disabled people who explained their daily fight in a society that doesn't adapt enough to handicap. Students could have a go in a wheelchairs to realise how difficult it can be to move around.
The following day, we went to Normandy and visited the town of Falaise and the castle of William the Conqueror, who was born there and lived there before invading Britain. We also had a tour of the Memorial of Civilian people in the WWII, and were reminded ot the exodus and the deportation of civilians. Finally, we walked through the "Little Warsaw", a Polish area in Potigny, a small mining village, and stopped in the Polish militar cemetary of Urville.
On Wednesday, we went to Paris and had a guided tour of the National Museum of Immigration. where we learnt a lot about immigration in France since the 19th century, before going to the Museum Jacques Chirac (Quai Branly).
On Thursday and Friday, students worked in groups or pairs to design different kinds of results (diaries, maps, power point presentation...).
