READING NATIONAL AUTHORS: IVANA BRLIĆ MAŽURANIĆ
Ivana Brlić Mažuranić (1874 – 1938) is considered the best Croatian writer for children. Her book Croatian Tales of Long Ago, published in 1916, is still among the most popular ones of its genre. Ivana Brlić Mažuranić wrote fairy tales with motives from the Slavic mythology of Croats. She is often compared to Hans Christian Andersen and Tolkien.

For this project activity, we have chosen Ivana Brlić Mažuranić's fairy tale Stribor's Forest. Our sixth graders created versions of the fairy tale. Here you can listen and read some of them.
We also want to share a collage of our school premises, where we like to spend our time during the nice weather and read stories.
