Day 5: English lessons / dissemination workshop/ future prospects

  • Today we met again the students who interviewed us on our first day here. They talked about their work on the interview and the final steps before editing the article. We will soon be able to post it on our Twinspace. It was an interesting experience for them as for us.

Their English lesson was called ''What's in a word?' and it was very creative. They were asked to guess the meaning of the word 'uggy' in different sentences. So they did, but in the end they disovered that it was not a real word, just an invention, but for all of us the meaning was obvious. It was very interesting to see how we connect things. Then they were asked to work in pairs to come with new words. Here are some of their ideas, can you guess the meaning of the words invented by the Romanian 15 -yearl-old students?

crig : He's a really  crig person, he doesn’t like to share anything.

blig : I ate an amazing blig as a dessert.

muffy : This muffy pillow makes me fall asleep so fast.

draly : It’s already 8. I’ll draly to school, hoping not to be late.

    zoinkishly : You’re acting a bit zoinkshly.

Afterwards we attended a very interesting workshop on dissemination in Erasmus projects. Catalina Rusu, a Sociology teacher, and her students showed us several examples of good practice. It was very useful and inspiring.

Finally, it was time to assess the job shadowing week, to show our Twinspace to the partners, to discuss ideas for future projects in order to get our students together and to say goodbye to such a wonderful team.

A big thank you to Mihaela, Lorina, Lotus, Ioana, Alina, Adina and all the other teachers that shared their work with us. Thank you to Mrs. Elena Calistru, the headteacher of Colegiul National for this fruitful experience.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Font Romeu.
