In April  our students visited Lithuania. Students had the opportunity to meet their peers from other partner countries: Lithuania, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria. Students presented their countries, talked about customs, traditions, typical food and places worth visiting. They learned a lot not only about Lithuania but also about other partner countries. Students also discussed the climate crisis and ways to reduce waste production. We all realize that our imprudent actions have done great harm to the environment. Our planet needs our help, so we should do everything to minimize our negative impact on the Earth. Our students talked about the small changes we can make in our lives to save the environment. Students also prepared posters and took part in workshops.

The meeting in Kaunas was extremely effective. Students deepened their knowledge about proper ways of waste management and found out why the climate crisis is such a great threat to our lives. However, the increase in environmental awareness was only one of the benefits of the meeting in Kaunas. The trip to Lithuania was a great opportunity to use English while communicating naturally with peers. Our students realized that learning a language is not only about grades or examinations, but also about being able to communicate with people from all over the world.
