Nonverbal Phone Communication

  • On 19th February, Friday, the next meeting for the project Necessary Skills and Instruments for Supply Chain Management took place.

    The topic was Nonverbal Phone Communication (nonverbal communication during a phone conversation).

    During the meeting the students worked in smal groups of 3-5. In groups, they introduced themselves in turns, as they would in the job interview while doing different things, like eating, drinking, jogging, walking the dog, reading, typing etc. The aim was to show that if we are not 100% with the customer and our brain deals with something else, the person we are talking to will know that for sure.

    In the follow-up meeting each group showed the results of their work on the multimedia board online and drew conclusions for the future bahaviour: what is and what is not allowed during phone conversations.

    Finally, all the participants received a presentation including tips for making business calls, such as what posture should be taken or how to modulate your voice for successful phone conversations.
