The participants of the international project Necessary Skills and Instruments for SCM had a meeting with a specialist representing AsstrA Polska Sp. z o.o., Mrs. Izabela Przyborowska.

The subject of the meeting: Formal Letters in Business.

The students got to know professional techniques used in business correspondence with customers and business partners. The fun fact was that "Dear Sir/Madam" is used less and less often, being simply replaced by "Dear". Also, "Hello" is more and more frequently used as a salutation.

Apart from that, Izabela talked about a freight forwarder as an occupation, about job responsibilities, about the studies young people choose to be able to get a job in this industry. She also shared some notes on what what employers pay attention to when hiring.

The meeting will surely help with the next stage of the project, Business Communication. During this stage the students will be asked to write an email with an enquiry about some products to their Austrian partners, using Training Company platform. Their task will also involve arranging transport for the goods.
The meeting was attended by the students representing ZS nr 10, Warsaw and ZS nr 6, Suwałki.
