  • What does it mean, to be healthy in 2021?

    Health and risk exposure

We tend to call our society a "risk society": is it still possible to be in good health within a world surrounded by chemicals?

    School and Covid-19

How has your student life been since this spring?

    Your country and Covid-19

What do you think about your country's management of the Covid-19 crisis?

    Being healthy

According to the (W.H.O) world health organization, it means being physically and mentally healthy. But is also important to have free public health and free access to medical devices.

    Health and its meaning

For me being healthy means having access to all the medical assistance I might need and feeling heard with all the issues (physical and mental) I might have.

it also means to appreciate every second of well-being, both mental and physical and also to be grateful for the well-being of other people.

This also means to be grateful and happy for every person getting vaccinated, because every dose in the body of someone helps to slow down and eventually stop the ongoing pandemic.
I am writing this down because I see many people on social media being jealous of others for getting the vaccine or insulting people because they didn't get it. I find that very sad because every step towards immunization is very important and should be celebrated.

    Contagious and dangerous 2021

In my opinion being healthy this year means that you have not been in contact with Covid-19. Other year my opinion would be different because for being healthy you would need to do sport, make sure your nourishment is correct, sleep enough… But this year you need all I mention before plus comply with the measures to prevent the virus. We have to take into account the virus affects directly to our organs, and we may be lucky if we are immune, but we may not be and get infected, have a really bad time until the virus is gone and then have sequels for the rest of our life. So, if we have had a healthy life, the sequels will be less because our body will be strong enough to fight against Covid, if it is not healthy, the sequels would be bigger.

    Health and pollution

Health is pretty complicate to define considering it’s a general well-being that depends both on biological and psychological factors. The risk of cancer is higher due to exposure to chemical pollutants but it apparently doesn’t hurt as much as an injury yet it’s lethal. Chemicals can also cause endocrine dysfunction which leads to weak immune system, altered development and low ability to handle stress.
Moreover we’re constantly exposed to electromagnetic pollution generated by mobile phones and computers that may cause sleep, hearth and blood pressure alteration. However, can we really live without them?
Indeed the pandemic has demonstrated that digital devices are essential but we can make them less harmful and as for chemicals we must tackle the root of the problem which is the consistent need of energy that nuclear power can provides and that should come from more sustainable and renewable resources.
