Equality

  • How would you define equality?

    Equalit(ies)

Do you think that we are "all born equals" ?

    Equality is real?

I don't so... unfortunately, society and the world in general still has many things more unfair... I don't think we were all born equal, I wish we were, but that's a lie...

    Inequality

Inequality is present in our society and it's also very brunched, and prejudices feed it. Sara Muzi

Inequality is still a big issue

Inequality is still a big issue even in modern-day society. To only name a few:
    - Inequality between transgender people and cisgender people
    - Inequality between genders
    - Inequality of chances in education
    and unfortunately many more!

Even though the society of developed countries made great progress in eliminating inequalities there is still a long laborious way to go.
We also have to put our focus on developing countries where inequalities are still a massive problem. For example inequalities such as forced marriages, manipulations on girl's genitals, and many other issues need to get developed countrie's focus and need to be dissolved.

    Equality

For me it is a way of living in which you look others at the same level than you and you don't consider anyone inferior for any reason. It is very difficult for reach this equality because of the society in which we live. There are still many economic, gender, race and other inequalities.

    Diversity as a strength

Although the Declaration of Human Right states that we are all born equal it’s hard to believe this is actually true beyond the rights stated on paper. If we compare an infant born in rich family and one born in a criminal household we realize how much our environment determines the person we’re going to be. An African child won’t get the same opportunities of an American but it’s not just the place we live, there’re also biological factors that make some people athletes and others space engineers. We have different strengths and weaknesses but we must ensure everybody has the chance to realize themselves and contribute to build a more equal society. Therefore the solution isn’t giving everyone the same treatment because we would leave someone a little more fragile behind but resources should be giving according to one’s needs. We should turn diversity into a strength.
