Environment & Climate change

  • What does "living in a good environment" mean for you?

    What does "environment" mean?

Environment, climate change, sustainability, climate justice... Lot of words and concepts are put forward when it comes to "green" issues, but what does all that mean? What are the different meanings of those notions ?

    Your country and environment

How does your country behave when it comes to environment/energy issues?

    A good environment

Is when we can breath clean and fresh air, swim without seeing rubbish, Future generations deserve to live in a nice planet. Sara Muzi

    "living in a good environment"

For me living in a good environment means having a sustainable way of living, so that we and future generations have a planet that is worth living on.
It is thus our duty to leave the planet in a state where future generations can still live in a "good environment".

    "Living in a good environment"

For me, living in a good environment means to walk in the street without seeing big clouds made out of pollution, without seeing plastic trash, or the enormous quantity of acoustic pollution that we can hear because of all the traffic that circulates on the roads. I think we all help a lot reducing all these problems for example using bicycles instead of cars or recycling more. We have to change our way of life for making the future generation's lives better.

    Delicate balance

Our environment has a large impact on our health and well-being therefore we should feel comfortable with what’s around us starting from our neighbourhood. Fresh and clean air, shade trees, bright flowers combined with glass buildings, cutting-edge technology and modern transport without traffic gams would make my ideal town. Eco-friendly doesn’t strictly mean obsolete nor antiquate because innovation is the key to transform a developing society into a more sustainable one. It’s a matter of taking a step further not behind, being green doesn’t mean giving up the advantages of modern life but making sure they are compatible with natural environment. Climate change and pollution are serious issues that require creative solution because we can’t put the clock’s hands backwards but we can make responsible decisions that respect nature’s equilibrium which eventually is our own since we’re part of this delicate ecosystem.
