How to improve schools for a better student life?
I am going to explain why do i like my school and the push factors to subscribe. Our school's massive and based on three levels, there is a huge gym and an enormous theatre. But my favorite part is the teaching staff, with some of the most amazing professors that are always ready to help you. But not all of them.We have many workshops like, extra classes of chemistry and biology, computer technology and many others ...i wish you could come in Italy and visit my school.Sara Muzi
It makes me sad to have gone from a school that valued students' mental health and peace and brotherhood above our grades to my current school where the opposite happens. I think there is nothing more important than mental health and stability for profitable study which in turn brings good grades! Unfortunately, many schools prefer to think that students and teachers don't have feelings...This past year was extremely eventful on a personal level and many times, I had to hear comments from teachers, when they saw me crying, that I had to stop bringing my problems to school, or that teachers have no duty to educate us but to prepare us for the exam?? This shocked me so much! How school, which is our second home, devalues us like this and treats us like robots, not all schools thankfully.
Online school affected a lot of us since we couldn't see our friends, exchange ideas, or help each other with homework.I was personally scared to stay behind in some of my classes and I feared that we wouldn't finish the program and get a huge disadvantage in our finals and when graduating. These fears still aren't completely dissolved and some of our teachers don't take us as students and our fears as seriously as they should.Although I must say that our school has provided us, consistent psychologic aid, if needed to get through these troubling times without further damage on our mental health.---Malve JEROMA
Education in essential for economic growth but every teacher has a different prospective on what quality education means, for some it’s the ability of finding creative solutions or have a deep knowledge of their subject, for others it’s the ability to connect everyday situations to what they study, eventually school should be able to teach the skills you need in future. However, this becomes more problematic in a fast changing society like ours, that’s why meeting professional figures like doctors, lawyer and engineers would be more useful than a traditional orientation day. The gap between university and workplace is the reason why many students struggle to find employment after graduation because they aren’t taught how to enter the work market and sell their skills nor are they aware of the opportunities online and abroad, some don’t even know how to make a Europass CV.Gurjit Kaur
From my point of view, quality education should be updated to favor more innovative learning in which they prepare us, not only to pass an exam, but for our laboral future, doing more practice, implementing emotional education, fostering sociability; the Spanish education system should be changed. What I like the most of my school is that is very extensive and many exchange activities with students from other countries are carried out. In addition, there are FPs of sociocultural animation and they perform many dynamics and activities of social problems that we are concerned about nowadays. What I dislike the most is that coexistence problems are not well resolved because students are not heard. Also, I dislike the attitude of some teachers that demotivate students.Claudia Carracedo
