Heidelberg Global classroom workshop (link)

Causes and consequences of climate change were the main topics of a workshop (Globales Klassenzimmer "Eine Welt Zentrum" in Heidelberg: www.eine-welt-zentrum.de) in which the students learned how they can influence this process themselves on three aspects (mobility, nutrition, recycling).

The students learned about the urban garden project in Heidelberg:

The citizens joined forces and created a city garden out of a traffic area. Volunteers mantain the garden. Everyone can harvest vegetables (strawberries, artichokes, herbs,beans) and eat them directly in the garden.

The students conducted a traffic count and discussed the CO2 footprint of different means of tranport.
