SAFE INTERNET

  • Today is International Safer Internet Day. It was organized for the first time in 2004 at the initiative of the European Network of Safe Internet Centers "InSafe", operating under the European Commission's program "Safe Internet". On this day, thousands of events are organized in over 110 countries around the world in order to raise the awareness of billions of Internet users about cultural communication on the Internet, as well as about the possible dangers online. The team participating in the current Erasmus + projects from NU "Eng. Georgi I. Valkov" joined the initiative as an exchange of experience and resources in the field of Internet safety of students. The educational seminars on the topic informed students how to recognize fake news on the Internet, the risks they carry and how to protect themselves. Students looked at educational types and discussed topics, engaging in a variety of activities: benefits and harms of the Internet, what the Internet is used for, how to recognize false information, cyber police, search engines for children, cyberbullying, privacy and safeguards Internet.
