E-Book "Herbarium Medicinal herbs"

Herbarium is a great opportunity for children to get to know the medicinal plants better in their environment.

-each school will present 2 - 4 medicinal herbs

- write the name of the herbs so that each school presents different herbs.

Municipal Kindergarten No 16 in Oswiecim, Poland

We decided to create our Herb Book in the shape of a poster.

We presented herbs and also one of our local herbalist - Szymon Syrenius. He was a researcher, scientist, doctor who helped many people, especially the poor ones. He was born in Oswiecim (the town we live in) in 1540 , studied, travelled a lot to broaden his education connected with the world of plants and their healing influence on other organisms. He helped many people in need in Kraków (where he finally settled ) and its suburbs.

Szymon Syrenius wrote a book about herbs - Illustrated Herbarium (Ilustrowany Zielnik o roslinach uzytkowych), an excellent source of botanical knowledge. In our poster we used plants like : daisy, lavender, plantago lanceolata.

These herbs are recommended to improve the condition of the body and mind.
