Monday,February 24th DAY OF HISTORY AND ART

  • Our project team is composed of 6 countries : France, Italy, Poland, Latvia, Germany, Portugal - located into different parts of Europe.

According to Europe 2020 strategy, like an European countries we have to have similar ways of teaching and develop similar transversal competencies built on the different bases of our national cultures, our methods of teaching, working and soft skill competencies .

The main goal of this first meeting in Satriano di Lucania is to meet all ours needs : improving our English language and ICT (information and communications technology) skills, acquiring new education methods, discovering other cultures and traditions,  education systems.

With this project we are going to offer an attractive teaching to our students, and exchange our different practices. As a matter of fact, we are going to be better people.

The theme of the project is "Fiers d’être Européens", "European pride".  The activities in this first exchange focus on European values and the development of European identity. Pupils are learning about European Union's fundamental values: respect for human dignity and human rights, freedom, democracy, equality and the rule of law. They are learning and  that these values unite all the member  states and if a country  does not recognise these values, cannot belong to the Union European.

Students  explore their national identity,   they become aware of different nations that build the European community  and they develop the sense of belonging to the European community as a whole. They learn to appreciate  the diversity of life in the Europe. They understand and respect the fact that life in Europe is culturally  diverse and that different people bring different values to the European community thus making it stronger. They learn about commitments and come up with ideas on how they and their country can contribute to making the European community a better place to live for all the Europeans. They explore what and how each member country can contribute to a common European identity.
