The IIS Notarangelo-Rosati” is located in South Italy and it is part of the Apulia Region, provincial capital of a vaste area. The town has 180.000 inhabitants and it is situated in the centre of a big agricultural area. Nowadays in that area we have good industries too. Agriculture, building activities, services and tourism are vital to the economy of the region. Neverthless Foggia in itself is a city of services and the school has a role of a technical school with the main aim to help students to find job in administrations, accountancy and some other technical workplace. We provide the following Diplomas: Marketing and International Affairs, Finance Marketing and Administration, Technical Diploma for Biotechnologies. We have laboratories for all these courses and moreless 1000 students and 120 teachers. At the present time we are facing the economic downturn as the major issue for students. They often abandon the school and we will be part of this project hoping to better involve students in school activities and avoid such problems. In the past the school was seriously involved in EU Projects. It has maintained Comenius projects in the LLP programme, and has taken part in several national initiatives also. In 2013 the school was rewarded for the Leonardo Project “Giving breath to buildings” by the Italian NA with the important “Star Project 2013” award. The experiences and learnt practice of these previous projects assure the ability of leading and coordinating a new initiative which is important for our institute. Many of our students live in a deprived situation and are at high risk of early school leaving. Our school has a long-lasting experience in fighting students’ isolation, to promote readiness to intercultural relations and to contrast school dropout. We performed and coordinated some different european Projects and we hope to have accumulated the related expertise. We run and coordinated some Comenius and Leonardo Projects and we have very expert teachers and staff. CLIL is currently teached (in English) in some courses. We also have the Esabac courses for the French classes. Among the issues our school considers crucial for its future development: 1. boosting students' motivation and reinforcing basic language and strategic competencies in order to contrast failure and early school leaving; 2. developing ICT skills and communicative strategies to use various Web 2.0 technology tools and programs in teaching; 3. As a special experience for project activities, we run a simulated enterprise model among our subjects, which we can teach as added value for all participants. Colleagues intend to participate in the project: Antonio Zito - Tutor for teachers in two “CLIL methodology Courses” of the University of Foggia for the current year. Coordinator of Comenius and Leonardo Projects at the partnership level Elena Troito - Tutor for teachers in two “CLIL methodology Courses” of the University of Foggia for the current year
