The fourth meeting of the project took place in Madeira, in April 2022, where both the Hungarian and the Italian partners were present.
The topic of the meeting was NETWPRKING/EUROPEAN NETWORKING, so we concentrated on these training related issues, giving the possibility for students to try out the advantages of networking, cooperative spirit and ideas, collaborations in international partnerships, sharing responsibilities, creating working structures and realizing the difference on a more global thinking.
Participants learned that ERASMUS+ Programmes open doors and provide opportunities to young people of Europe. We began with a relaxed and informal ceremony in school with cooperating teachers, all students involved on the mobilities and some local authorities, where the participants presented their schools,
towns, and Countries.
We had thematic workshops in school where students worked together, getting to know each other (Team building), introducing games, exercises on self-consciousness, experiences, personal feelings, ice breakers, interactive art methods for forming a cooperative group able to work with each other, planning start-up ideas and working with basic elements and roles of a small enterprise.
In our sea school “Going SUP boarding, swimming, snorkelling, Sea Kayaking …” the visitors had a great experience in the Atlantic Sea with our expert teachers. All participants students and teachers also had the opportunity to discover geographical features and culture tasks by visiting our village (walking on to Cristo Rei- Garajau), our capital Funchal, and some iconic places of the island as the Monte Palace Gardens and Church (resting place of Emperor Carlos), Lava pools in Porto Moniz.
The coordinators worked on Mobility Tool+, School Education Gateway Platform, eTwinning, financial items, and Dissemination. Shared photos, documents, end products from all activities done during the project implementation. Discussed the project sustainability and deadlines to make the final report.
Besides formal occasions, we provided the participants a Farewell lunch and a moment where each country could perform their arts (singing, dancing, and playing Theatre) and socialize with all students and teachers involved.
Both the local participants and the teachers travelling to Madeira improved social and civic competences, learned interactive methods helping them to open up and increase motivation for activities, developed their self-consciousness, self-esteem, self-belief, social and personal skills, gained information about further good examples and practices and improved their knowledge of European educational systems and societies, Network building strategies, skills necessary for personal development, for future employment and for active European citizenship. They learned to respect and recognize other cultures, maintain European partnerships, sense of EU consciousness, realizing and protecting values and interests in the EU Community.
