MOBILITY_SPAIN_24th_OCTOBER-19-BURGOS-COVANERA

  • A trip was organized to several places where history, natural spaces with water as the protagonist  and the practice of sport met.

Firstly we visited the city of Burgos

Then we went to COVANERA to visit the Blue Well.

Covanera is covered soon, and very few people live there during the winter. At no time can the visitor be abstracted from the noise caused by the waterfall that is born in the center of the town.

Its crystalline waters sprout at the base of the Cueva del Agua, a cave that opens in the rocky cantile over the town, and divides it into two parts: Villa and Puebla.

Through this cave, which is part of the interesting karst complex of Orbaneja, the groundwater from a huge aquifer located in the subsoil of the Páramo de Bricia has its natural exit. The flow of this upwelling, of a permanent nature throughout the year, increases considerably in times of heavy rain and thaw.

The we went to Orbaneja del Castillo(Burgos) and had a short hike along the Ebro Canyon.

After that, we went to Revelillas Shelter where we could all together share some moment to enjoy, rest, have dinner and organize our Logo Contest
