MOBILITY TO SPAIN
This will be the first mobility on our common agenda and therefore the first activity will be getting to know each other. Each country will introduce themelves by means of a short presentation, paying special attention to aspects related to water, cycling as they are the main axes of our project. They will also present their school and the main aspects of their culture.
The Logo Contest will take place in this mobility too. Every country will bring two logos selected in their schools and here we will decide on the common logo which will be on all the material produced.
A meeting with the main authorities of the city, Mayor, council president, members from the education board will be held.
We will plan cyclable routes with different degree of difficulty taking into account existing waterways.Students in the Spanish team will be responsible for having bikes for all the participants.
We will include points of interest in the routes to explain through photos and texts interesting things that can be found (dovecotes, locks, wetlands, flora, fauna, ...). They can be added to Wikiloc Routes. We will also visit relevant roman sites and discover the use of water in the Roman Empire. We could also visit the Water museum in our city as well as the water treatment plant. Traditional dances that emerge from the floklore of our will be learnt . A trip to the north of Palencia to see lakes and mountains where lots of rivers are born is meant to take place.
In relation with the cycling axe we will contact Eurovelo Spain to have an expert giving us a speech on these routes, how they were created and which ones cross Spain. Students will investigate on the Spanish routes and the most relevant landmarks and monuments to be found along the route.
During the mobility there will be coordinators meetings so that we can agree on different aspects:
- Specific virtual exchanges on eTwinning.
- Achievement and timeline of the main objectives.
- Dissemination schedule and events and agreed responsabilities.
The methodologies used will be mainly collaborative, active and based on ICT to achieve an effective learning.
The results will be a wider knowledge on European projects and we will give visibility to the main contents of our project. In addition the first part ofour common Video Documentary will be recorded and the main activities and researches will be uploaded on Twinspace and EPR platform.
This mobility and the activities planned are related to the normal activities of the Spanish school as these topics are usually covered on the Spanish curriculum. With the project a European dimension will be added to these contents making them more relavant and interesting for students.
