VERONA-TRENTO MAJORANA

TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL INSTITUTE

Verona-Trento Majorana Institute is located in Messina, to the South of Italy (Sicily).

It has got about 1,200 students (14-18) and 180 teachers.

It is both a Technical and a Vocational Institute.

The Technical Institute is mainly specialized in Mechanics, Mechatronics, Chemistry, ICT and Telecommunication, Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Building Technologies.

The Vocational Institute is specialized mainly in Maintenance and Technical Assistance (Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Mechanics).

The school curriculum is made up of general and specialized subjects but, by the law, each school is granted a certain amount of flexibility so, from time to time, it is possible to change it and introduce new teachings.

English is studied as a foreign language by all students.

The school is well equipped with lots of labs, workshops, 3 gyms and a cafeteria.

As regards Erasmus+, we started with a KA2 project in 2015.

Since it was so successful, we focused on activities of cooperation and exchange with other European schools such as, for example, job shadowing and cultural exchanges.

At the moment, we are involved in 4 different Erasmus+ projects and various international activities.
